Back to Black

Sometimes, nothing makes me feel better than wearing black.

I mean it. You can do so much with it and I feel you can never go wrong with something classic. This dress reminds me a little of the Mad Men era - like my post on Full Skirts.

As you know I started a new nutrition plan on Monday and Its now day three and already I'm off. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT? I thought I was pretty good with my macros (i.e. my food intake), but clearly I have some work to do.  And making me accountable for what I put in my body and consume and more aware. Before I just guestimated my intake - now I realise much I UNDERestimated haha.

I have been thinking as well about what would make me less stressed and right now I am worried about the financial constraints of continuing my training with TRAINER. I have a few sessions left and then I will have to reasses. I would love to continue but I have had to take on a second job and so I don’t have my weekends or nights. It would be nice to have those back! But the workouts with my trainer have been and is such an important component of my life. At the same time I've been thinking about joining with Perfect Peaking and doing the whole package nutrition and workout plans which I KNOW will work, but I am worried about not having someone physically there to push me. A lot of things to think about and decisions to be made in the next little while. Yikes!

What I am wearing:
Dress: Zara (I bought this in Dubai in 2006)
Necklace: (I bought two of the same necklace in Kensington Market in Toronto and linked them together for a whopping total of $10 dollars)
Watch: Coach
Ring: Borrowed
Shoes: Expressions the Bay

Do you have a go-to colour that makes you feel fabulous? How do you cope with stress?

  5. That dress is stunning - I love the lace cleavage :)

Wow, good on you for working two jobs and still finding time to stay fit and healthy. I'm so lucky that my trainer does everything for me for free, because there's no way I could afford that on top of all the regular food and supps I have to buy!

  7. I love that dress! That silhouette is definitely my favorite and the most flattering for my body shape.  And those shoes!  I am on the search for the perfect nude pump!

I feel your struggles with having or not having a trainer.  I haven't had my trainer since my competition in May and I have slowly been slipping back into bad habits.  It makes me so frustrated with myself that I have all the tools and knowledge to lead a healthy lifestyle and yet I don't seem to do it without someone checking up on me.  We can do it!

  9. Stunning dress- I love the low back and all the detailing.  I would love to have a personal trainer- I did a few sessions but as you say it costs a lot of moolah so Good Life Body classes will have to do for now!

  10. You look super fab! It's so hard to balance isn't it? You want to work out and be healthy physically, but sometimes, when you have so much on your plate it makes it really difficult to stay healthy mentally. Sometimes you need days when you are home and not running around to stay on top of your game. I hope you figure it all out!!

  14. What an elegant dress, the silhouette is stunning and it looks like it was made for you. One of my favorite pieces is a black strapless maxi dress that I bought at T.J Maxi for $9. Since it's solid black I treat it like a blank canvas and really play with accessories.
